Amazing staff. Lovely place. So gorgeous. I would definitely go back for a manicure and threading. Just one issue with the lycon wax, the practitioner uses a strip with the wax and not as a hard wax (what lycon is intended to be). The end result was patchy and lots of broken hair (potential ingrown hair) which is kind of unfortunate because it kind of defeats the purpose of lycon wax.
Pros: Very pretty interior. The beauty therapist Sandra was friendly.
Cons: Very painful waxing. The temperature of the wax was too high (I saw that one pot was on “melt” setting!). I complained to the therapist and she said that it was because of how sensitive the body area was. She also double dipped the stick into the pot of wax, instead of using a new stick each time. My skin is still painful and rough three days later, which has never happened before.
Overall: really want to like this salon as it’s in my neighbourhood, but I will be going back to my usual salon (ministry of waxing).
