The mani pedi treatment I had at posh was definitely a 5 star treatment, I’m very pleased with the fact that they took their time and did a really nice job, I'd also say that the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is quite relaxing, which is why I will certainly visit again.
What a funny little place! I had the same lady for both treatments and she was so sweet and accommodating. I explained that I wasn't allowed polish with my manicure as I worked with food so she took extra care of my nails and buffed them to a natural shine. I didn't have much done to my hair but all of the products were lovely and she was very quick and professional. The place itself is a little run down which is a shame and the atmosphere for me was ruined by the other clientele who would not shut up about their hair colour disasters!! Overall, a bit of a hidden gem. Well worth the money.
I'm a big fan of threading treatments at posh, the cost is slightly higher than other places but it's worth every penny. I have tried some other treatments here as well and I found them to be great value for money and the whole experience was great. Highly recommend this salon.
From beginning to end this was a nightmare experience. I was attracted by the good prices and the salon is very close to where I live. I booked a full head of highlights and a gel mani and pedi. I arrived 10 mins before my appointment (10am - the salon opening time) and was told that my appointments had been swapped around so that my mani and pedi were to be before my hair appointment as the hair stylist had another walk in client - no problem until the nail technician was half an hour late for work. I sat there waiting for 40 mins until the nail technician arrived. In this time I was only spoken to once, not even offered a coffee or a magazine, not a great start. When the nail tech arrived she was very apologetic which I appreciated and she proceeded to set up the work station for my mani and pedi. The work station was shoddy and on wheels. Whilst I was receiving the mani I noticed ants on the floor of the back room - not appealing. The overall quality of the mani and pedi was poor. My nails were not filed properly and left rough - my nails were in very good condition as I get manis frequently and was mainly visiting to get the gel overlay. The gel did not even cover the top of my nail in some places - ridiculous! The colour was not representative of the colour I picked on the chart, and even after 2 layers of colour was see through in places. Typical of cheap product - not what I paid for. Two days after my visit the gel was chipped... Not what gel is supposed to do.
Two and a half hours later, I sat down in the chair to receive highlights. I have thick curly hair, and am used the amount of time it takes to put highlights in. I had bright blonde hair, with caramel low lights. I asked for a root touch up and more lowlights of the same colour - basically more of the same of what I had. The application of the dye was extremely slow. Again, no drink was offered. Again I have this treatment very often around every 6 weeks, so am used to the colours and timings of the whole experience. I noticed that the 'caramel lowlight' dye was very dark - almost red, and asked the stylist if this colour is correct. She assured me it was and told me not to worry. After my experience with the nails I was not so sure. My dye was left in for far far too long, around 5 mins before the dye was supposed to be taken out the stylist agreed to do ANOTHER walk in client - extending my wait for another 35 mins. I was extremely annoyed at this point. I understand the need to keep up trade but not at the cost of other clients? When the dye was FINALLY taken out I was appalled with the colour. I was literally close to tears to see that my multi tonal blonde hair had been died peroxide blonde at the root ( from bleach being left on too long) and the dark hair dye was literally black. Thick stripes of black hair not even close to the caramel blonde I requested. My whole head of hair was transformed. I told the stylist that it was not what I asked for and proceeded to tell me she put a darker colour in my hair so that my hair would 'hold it'... not what she told me 2 hours before that when I originally questioned the colour? The end of the hair was a muddy grey due to the two extremely different colours mixing, when I complained she told me it 'wasn't her fault'... she put the colour in my hair? She again told me not to worry and that the dye would wash out after 1 wash. I didn't believe her at all and of course I was right. I swim 3 times a week, and have washed my hair every day and there is no change to the colour. She consistently was dishonest and was patronising and extremely nonchalant about the fact i was so close to tears and has ruined my hair. I have had to book another appointment elsewhere to fix this awful cheap looking disaster. Whilst I was in the salon another lady came in who had her hair cut a few days before - who was complaining about the quality of the cut- to which the stylist replied 'oh its not my fault your hair quality is so bad it has breakages - you cycle and wear a helmet this damages your hair.' (?!). The other client literally walked out of the salon in shock at this statement. I left the salon six and half hours later crying.
Overall I have never received such awful quality service all round. Absolutely terrible, needless to say I do not recommend this place to anyone - I wouldn't go back here even if it was free - let alone the price I paid.
Usually I'm satisfied at the salon but this time it was a bit disappointing. Another person did the waxing after waiting for quite some time. Also the end result was not really good.
