I had a lovely time at the salon. I was made very comfortable by Huma , and my treatment was done quickly and efficiently. It was painless and I have got my eyebrows threaded here too and she does an excellent job. No cuts and fast, swift work. Thanks for this!
What a rip off! This was my first and last visit to this salon. I booked a hollywood treatment there because I was on budget this month and they had an offer £12.50 for a strip wax. The beautician asked me if I paid online (said I didn't) and if I could show her my confirmation email that I booked it for £12.50 (she didn't look like she believed me) then later said I was the third customer who booked the treatment for this price then starting complaining to me. After she started the treatment, I told her it did hurt a bit and she offered she would switch to hot wax to see the difference. Well, this is where the problem started. She started using the hot wax WITH a strip, not your usual hot wax that they leave on for a bit to dry and peel off.. I told her this is not the type of hot wax I'm used to and it still hurt so we could switch back. (maybe it's just me but i have been to several salons and never heard about hot wax being stripped off with the paper.) She also left on a lot of hair but I just wanted to get out. At the reception desk she charged me for £20!! and was told she gave me a big discount because hot wax is usually £30. I was very unhappy about this because at no point I wanted the hot wax (especially not the one she was using on me) and I did tell her to continue using the one i paid for during the treatment. She asked me if it was ok and I said no sorry I'm being ripped off and it's not right what she's doing. I really wanted to get out of there so handed over my card, cash only. Of course. I popped out to take money out (didn't get receipt for the extra) and before leaving the salon I told her again how unhappy I was but she didn't care once she pocketed the cash. When I got home I had to spend half an hour trying to tidy up the unwanted hair she left. 3 days on, my skin is still sore from the treatment. Learnt my lesson and in the future I'll be happy to pay £20-35 for a quality treatment (where you also pay what you book the treatment for).
The lady did a rushed job, leaving some hairs. However the eyebrows were shaped nicely. The lady was friendly.
Staff very friendly and gave me student discount.
The website advertised both the treatments as being 15 mins in total but the therapist seemed to be in a rush for some reason and did a hasty job - only in 5 mins and put finishing cream on my face without asking me to check whether I was happy with the threading first. When I looked closely in the mirror I realised that quite a few hairs hadn't been removed and asked for it to be done again. The shape of my eyebrows turned out quite ok.
