Not so much of a massage at points, certain parts of the massage around the neck were more pinching than anything else. Would recommend if it were cheaper
Pros: The massage itself was spot on. Firm pressure. Worked on my neck and shoulders for the full hour. Exactly what I needed. It's been a lot better since. Cons: They didn't seem to be expecting me and I think they had to phone someone to come and give the massage. He was wearing ordinary civilian clothes, including open-toed sandals. Unfortunately his feet smelled. However, overall the massage was excellent.
I had twinged a muscle in my neck which had caused my whole neck and shoulders to cease up, so I went here hoping for some treatment to help relieve the pain. I informed the staff at the desk of my symptoms and they suggested the acupuncture and treatment massage.
The acupuncture was fine - the needles were put in and I was left in the nice room for around 15 minutes.
The therapist then came back and started the "massage". Clearly the information from the front desk hadn't been relayed to the therapist, so she was trying to turn my neck in all kinds of directions that it didn't want to go in, and due to her limited English she wasn't understanding when I was saying (and expressing facially) that it was extremely painful.
She then proceeded to use a wooden scraper on my neck and shoulders, which was also painful and left huge red marks all over my back and shoulders which took at least a week to subside.
Overall, the treatment made my neck stiffness worse, as I basically spent 20 minutes tensing my neck either to prevent it being twisted in odd directions or because I was being subjected to the pain of the wooden scraper.
I had a deep tissue massage with David. I have a very stiff back and neck and this massage made it so much better. This type of massage is not the typical relaxing massage, is rough, so be prepared to have some aches 1 or 2 days after. The staff is very friendly. I recommend it.
