Nice clean venue. Completely silent in there though, could of done with some music. Manicure was average, bit sloppy as the gel went all in and over my cuticles and started to peel when I left, but I filed it back and seems to have lasted a week so far. Manicure looks good from a distance.
In this instance my experience was not the greatest for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, the waxing itself was not great, mostly the bikini wax. I never had someone doing me a bikini wax in such short time and leaving it so untidy. Also, despite having booked and payed for a high bikini, upon later inspection I could tell I only had a very very basic bikini wax done.
The waxing in the legs ended up also being quite patchy and I had quite a few hairs growing only after a few days, which means that they were not removed properly, but rather broken.
But what has made me extremely uncomfortable - to the point of not wanting to come back - was being mentioned more than once about the extra charges they have to pay from having their services advertised via Treatwell. Even though I sympathise with them, in the end of the day it is not the client's responsibility or fault for this. Certainly having their services advertised in different platforms brings them new business. I take advantage where possible of Treatwell promotions and many times salons don't offer these same promotions if you book directly with them and offer prices which are just not as appealing or competitive. I won't be going back to this salon because I felt pressured into not using Treatwell in the future. Also I was passed comments about how much charges they have to pay if I used my bank card. Again, totally inappropriate! Businesses have to be prepared for clients to book their services via Treatwell (if they are register in that platform) and to pay their bills with a bank card.
