Excellent result + quick service.
Great Blowdry!
Nicely done braids. Dora is a real professional, she is great!
Great!
I've been booking with Treatwell for haircuts for years. Generally have had positive experiences with one other exception. However, this was the worst experience I have ever had with a Treatwell booking. The stylist, Helga, used my name every other sentence to the point where it was annoying. So far, so sales technique, which of course I could breeze by if the haircut and service were good. Which they weren't. The problem started when Helga "finished," the haircut, which was shorter on one side than the other and not blended well between the front and back. It wasn't a disaster, it just wasn't particularly great, and the blow dry was not fantastic either with lots of stray hairs sticking up around my crown. So I asked her to blend the layers between the front and back a bit, because to me it almost looked like two separate haircuts. "Well,(my name)," she said, "in my professional opinion this is a good haircut, and if I do anything else I will make it look worse." I told her it looked like two separate haircuts, "Well,(my name), "she said, "if I do any more it will really look like two separate haircuts." "It's uneven," I said, and at no time did I see her check the layers like I've watched hairdressers do forever. "(My name)," she said, "Do you usually wear all your hair pushed to the front?" She did look at the back, but didn't bother to show me the back. Cue about ten more rounds of this nonsense, her saying in her professional opinion it was a good haircut and if she did anything else it would be worse. She also told me I came in with my hair like this (no kidding, that's why I wanted a hair cut) and I should instruct her what to do ( I already did, and she kept saying that she would make it worse if she blended it) and that in ten years as a hairdresser she never has had any complaints. (Really? as a person who works with the public myself I know that's not possible.) "Okay," I finally said, "so you are willing to let me as a customer walk out of here really dissatisfied with no attempt to put this right?" "Well, (my name), she said, I just think you are being difficult. You can contact.." and she gave me a website address for the business, which does not exist! The website is not there. She made no attempt to look it up, just made up something. "Okay," I said, "I will contact them." I went to use the loo which is opposite the salon. When I came out, Helga was waiting for me. "(My name, my name), " she said, "you haven't paid for your Treatwell booking," "I have, I'm not going to pay twice," I said. In fact I had paid online ten days before the booking. Helga continued to insist I hadn't paid. This was truly the crappiest Treatwell experience I have ever had, due to the extremely poor customer service. As an aside, the salon is actually a space under a stairwell in a really loud gym, so at times you can hear both the house music the gym plays at top volume and also the fitness class next door, which has music and is miked. So if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere this isn't it!
