Red Rose is one of the best kept secrets in the city; This is the only place in Edinburgh that offers true sugaring: long-lasting hair removal that's 100% organic, less painful than waxing, and has been practiced for almost 4000 years. Ingredients? Sugar, lemon, and water. Pain factor? For someone with extremely sensitive skin , I still experience minimal pain and redness, and the all-natural solution sprayed on after is soothing and effective. There's no residue and I stay smooth for weeks. The salon space is clean and bright, the mobile-friendly website is easy to navigate, and the prices are reasonable.
The best part? Humaira, the salon owner. She's expertly trained -- she did a master class with Lina Kennedy, (President and CEO of Alexandria Professional®), and it's reflected in her technique: she took her time and I really appreciate her careful work.
Humaira was professional, skilled, talkative, and genuine. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and bright.--I can't thank her enough for bringing sugaring to the city.

usually don’t leave reviews but I felt obliged as this was the best bikini hair removal I have had in the UK. I am very sensitive to pain, so sugaring is the best option for me albeit hard to find (I usually do it at a top rated salon in New York and pay 5x the price as I did with Humeirah). The wax was the closest to pain free a bikini hair removal can be. She is very thorough and her demeanour makes you instantly feel at ease. She is gracious, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and professional - she caters the appointment to your specific skin needs. Her studio is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Couldn’t be happier that I found this and felt that I should share, as this type of service deserves appreciation!
