Melanie has been a successful professional therapist since 2008. After suffering a back injury and a disc problem for months, she sought help from Doctors, Physio, Chiropractor etc but sadly nothing eased the pain. She tried a complementary therapy which eased the pain immediately. Melanie was so inspired that she left her sales job and trained as a Complementary Therapist. Always eager to learn more she has trained with world class teachers and has gained an amazing toolset to work with many health and performance issues to deliver tangible results. Melanie’s multi-skilled approach works with soft tissue, muscular-skeletal, digestive, energy and emotional issues, focusing on a multi therapy approach to find the root cause of the problem, helping to correct the compensatory issues and working with the client to improve their symptoms and maintain good health. Melanie specialises in TMJ Therapy and is a head teacher at Blend Therapy & Training.
After being diagnosed with ME at 16 years old I started researching alternative therapies and found it fascinating and benefitted from different therapies. At age 20 although I was still quite ill I went on to complete a diploma in aromatherapy full body massage. Over the years I have continued to do lots of research and try new therapies. I chose to treat only friends and family at this time. Then at a social occasion 6 years ago I met Mathew and after discussing how I was struggling with chronic neck pain I booked in at his clinic for myofascial release. I was amazed at how good I felt after just 1 treatment. So this is where my interest came from to find out more about myofascial work. In October 2017 I completed angelic reiki course and decided to take a career break, and during this time I trained in beauty therapy, Indian head massage and hot stone massage. I found I really loved the more holistic side with massage and facials. June 2018 I launched my own business as a mobile therapist. January 2019 I completed level 1 myofascia release therapy training and the feedback from using the techniques in with massage has been amazing. I have continued with reading and researching as it is so amazing how the body reacts. November 2019 I travelled to London to complete level 2 myofascia training and also added in reflexology training to further increase my skills to offer a bespoke treatment to really help my clients to feel the benefit.

Mathew has over 17 years experience as a sports massage therapist, working with a host of semi-pro football clubs in the West Yorkshire area, providing advice, treatment and conditioning for the players. Over the last 7 years he has moved towards Myofascial Release as his main treatment after it successfully cured chronic back pain that he had for 5 years, which no one could fix despite seeing some of the best consultants and physios in the area. Using a blend of techniques developed over the last 17 years, he is able to identify the root cause of clients pain, and help to reduce symptoms, in most cases after just one session! Mathew attends training courses all over the country every few months to keep on top of new techniques and information, so he is able to give his clients the best possible treatment. Mathew is very passionate about his work and loves to see the improvements in his clients after they have been to see him.
