I booked through Treatwell and provided my phone number and email. I arrived 15 minutes early for my scheduled appointment time, only to be told that the facial specialist had gone home. She had apparently tried to contact me (the girls at the desk said she'd either emailed or text me) asking me to come in earlier, which I received neither. However when I hadn't responded, she concluded I wasn't coming at the earlier time so she simply went home. I did not receive this message, however I did receive an automated message and email from Treatwell, so there was nothing wrong with my contact details. In addition, no one tried to call me.
It's annoying that she presumed 'I wasn't coming' because I didn't reply. Wouldn't protocol be to assume that if you havent heard from the client then the appointment is still valid and the staff member should be there for the appointment? This seems like basic logic. I specifically booked my facial at this time because it was 7 days before a wedding. I even travelled through to Aberdeen specifically for the appointment only to be let down by the business.
This is my second visit to Serenity for the same treatments; underarm, full leg and Hollywood wax. Both appointments have been with Iram who is a little waxing ninja! The time flies by with Iram as she talks and has a laugh throughout the waxing process while still being professional and calming.
Booking through Treatwell is not direct therefore the appointments you select on this system doesn't necessarily match the Serenity booking system; however, as soon as Serenity get a notification they try to fit you in as requested or slightly move appointments to be as accommodating as possible.
You pay through Treatwell so if you change your booking in anyway you need to make sure you confirm this with Serenity to ensure there's no issues when you arrive which is common sense.
I've had no issues with Treatwell/Serenity and I will continue to use as the service is impeccable.
This was my first wax in about 3 years and I decided to go all out with Hollywood, Full Leg & Underarm. The girl (I've completely forgot her name but she had amazing eyebrows) who was doing my wax was lovely, professional, gentle, quick and communicated everything she was doing. When it came to the full Hollywood this can be slightly awkward having a stranger all up in your lady business and behind, but she was very professional and calming.
I felt almost no pain except for a few tender spots buts more down to my low pain threshold.
I will happily go back for this again and I have my eye on a few other treatments!
