Comfortable wax, very attentive! They are easy to communicate (i.e. If you're late they'll be able to Accommodate) and they can provide very qualified and attentive staff!
beautiful and easy massage feel so much better
I am very upset after my first trip to Ria Beauty. I booked a Hollywood wax and went in and explained that I have psoriasis as I do each time I go to a new salon but was told that I may not be able to receive the treatment. As I was shocked by this I explained to the staff member that I have been having a wax for years and my psoriasis is not contagious. This is the first time I have ever been discriminated against and made to feel this way. She went to check and explained she wouldn’t be able to go through with the wax. I felt like she thought I had a disease as she looked shocked and said does it always look like this? She went on to explain that she would have to change all of her utensils (I was having a strip wax so do not understand this and assume that utensils should be cleaned and changed after each treatment). I had my eyebrows and top lip threaded and was charged for this treatment but they then went on to refuse to carry out the waxing treatment. I don’t understand this as also have psoriasis and sensitive skin on my face and behind my ears. This has been a huge knock to my confidence as it is already something I struggle with showing. It’s taken me a long time to feel confident enough to expose my psoriasis but after this experience I have been left feeling paranoid and embarrassed about it meaning I am left trying to cover it up more. The next day I went to another local salon to have the waxing treatment and when i explained what had happened they were outraged. They had no problem carrying out the treatment as they had a good understanding of what psoriasis is and were able to suggest ways in which I could help it. As someone who has been having Hollywood waxes in a number of salons across London for years I am disgusted by the way I was treated at Ria Beauty. They clearly don’t have a good understanding of different skin types and it’s outrageous that they discriminated against me due to my sensitive skin. I was never given the opportunity to speak to the manager about this matter but would be open to discussing this further.
Friendly and professional staff.
Second time I’ve gone to Ria beauty to get my nails done. I’ve had Katie and Vicky do my nails and they do them so well and they’ve lasted nearly a month! 100% recommend!
