I went to Riddhis Beauty Clinic in August 2014 for a full body waxing: as I work in the City and I was going on holiday a few days later, it was very convenient as the premises are only a 10 minutes' walk from my office, and I booked the last appointment available on a weekday at 630pm: the salon is actually in the basement on an off licence, which I didn't mind, but they really need to sort the air conditioning down there: it's extremely hot, and there is no central air conditioning - there is a fan in the reception and in every treatment room, but I do not think that solves the problem very much!
As I arrived at 6 because I finished working earlier than expected, I had to wait as my therapist had another client, but I didn't mind; when I finally started my treatment, the therapist asked what I wanted to have done, and when I told her that actually I didn't want to have my stomach and back waxed, but I wanted to have my eybrows and upper lip done instead, she said that those were not included in the voucher and I should have paid extra for those (I know they are technically "face", but I didn't see the problem in doing eyebrows and upper lip INSTEAD of back and belly waxing?!? and then nowhere on the voucher is written what is included and what not?!?) So ,at the beginning she started doing the "body parts" which I wanted to have done (full legs, full arms, underarms, and Hollywood), and then at the end she finally agreed to do eyebrows and upperlip threading without making me pay any extra, so thanks for that!
The therapist herself was actually very good: I didn't have any hair left over anywhere, and when I was having my Hollywood done and I was in total pain and discomfort, she swapped the normal wax for the hot wax to ease the treatment (again without having me pay any extra).
I have a couple of remarks though: - having the fan next to the treatment bed pointing on yourself all the time while having waxing done is not that comfortable - I even turned it off at some point, but the heat in that room was just unbearable so I had to turn it back on: doing some works and having central air conditioning installed could only improve the performance and the fame of the place; - at the end of my treatment I felt as the therapist was rushing a bit: I understand that she finishes her shift at 8 and didn't want to be late, but maybe she could just plan for the last full body wax to be booked at 6, so she doesn't run the risk to work longer than agreed?!?
Overall I think I will go back to Riddhis Beauty Clinic to have my waxing done, but I do not think I will book the last appointment available again, and even if I book the full body waxing because it saves me money I will still ask for the eyebrows and upper lips done instead of the back and stomach waxing, as I think that it's a fair swap in treatments.
And please get some air conditioning ASAP!!!
I had a Hollywood wax here, the lady who did it, Tiziana was so friendly and made me feel relaxed. She also really tried to make it as painless as possible. They have really done well with the small space they have and it was great value for money.
