Really interesting venue. Lovely 'house' very close to convent garden. For some reason I found it complicated to get to from the tube station (was probably me!) The room was a little faded but the actual venue made up for it. The therapist was lovely. Very pleasant, polite and friendly. She was running late due to delays on the underground but texted me to advise me of this but in the end she wasn't late at all. The facial was lovely. The products smelt delicious and I felt so fresh and clean afterwards. A luxurious experience. I would love to go again.
I went to Rock Chic Beauty for a 1h Dermalogica Facial. The therapist was friendly but very lethargic, what made it difficult for me to trust her and relax. On a positive note she explained all the products and their benefits during the treatment. The facial itself was not very enjoyable. I had already a couple of deep cleaning facials and none of them were as uncomfortable then this one. During the facial massage it felt as if my therapist was using a peeling, I don't know if that is a usual thing to do, but my face started to really hurt and burn after a while. After the treatment my skin was strongly aggravated. However I was surprised that when I arrived at home after 1h tube commute, my skin had already calmed down. The appointment was at 6:45pm and my therapist had to shut down the studio before 8pm because of the alarm. Hence I felt very rushed and had no time to relax a couple of minutes after the treatment. All in all it was not an enjoyable experience, but after my face had calm down it looked radiant and hydrated.
The therapist was nice and helpful, explained the products she was using and gave me advice on my skin. What I thought could be better was the time spent and quality of facial massage, lots of different lotions/masks etc were applied, but the massage was quite mediocre. I was quite happy with end result nice glow but don't think I would go back.
Location is bit strange as it's in basement of another business but I found it OK as someone was waiting for me in the reception above. Zee is an excellent therapist. I enjoyed the deep cleansing facial. She massaged my face quite a bit which was very relaxing. I think facial was very good value at £28 and would recommend it.
The treatment room felt tired and needed a good hoover. Treatment was very nice but the overall attention to detail missing for a beauty spa. Still good value for money.
