It was okay, but not worth the money. The way my hair was cut is not very professional and it left my hair half done and it lacked integrity. I am not sure if the hairdresser got a proper training. My hair was cut very badly and not matching on both sides, straight at the ends without asking and it was styled not taking in consideration that I have a very fine hair so as soon as the styling disappeared I could see the mistakes and how flat it looks. I will have to book an appointment at another salon to have a proper haircut. I get the appeal this salon has and if you want to have a vintage haircut you might be happy with the outcome, but if you want a regular haircut you might get just a mediocre one that you can get from a trainee hairdressers anywhere for cheaper.
I am really shocked and disappointed with Rockalilly Cuts. The owner cancelled my most recent appointment after I had booked it on Treatwell, saying no discounted slots were available - but proceeded to offer me an appointment on the same day and time for £22 more! When I asked if they could honour the slot I had booked in good faith - especially as they had confirmed a stylist was available - I was told no! I have been going to this salon for years - but will think twice before returning. I am genuinely shocked by this awful level of customer service.
lovely staff, adorable salon, and I didn't have to sell my TV to afford it. I definitely think I'm going back!
I was excited to try such a cute salon - and on my doorstep too! The space is a dream; lots of natural light, retro furniture and Americana. Sadly, I didn't feel like the energy of the staff matched the playful, kitsch atmosphere of the shop. It was hard to get much of a smile/chat out of them although I really tried. I also wasn't offered a cup of tea and one of these famous biscuits I've read about in the reviews - even when I said I was thirsty and the other lady having her her done was being made a coffee and munching on said biscuit! Maybe because I booked through Treatwell? But come on guys, it's a just cuppa - jeez. Anyway, the cut: I loved it. I only wanted a nibble at the ends so it was hardly a tricky finish but I felt like great care was taken to get it just right, as well as some uselful theory explained as to why she cut it the way she did. It was blow dried and straightened with care too and I felt good walking out of the salon. I would visit again.
Great attention to detail, cosy salon, friendly staff.
