This year, age 27, and right before my holiday, I decided to get my first ever Brazilian wax. I chose Rose Salon based on the great customer reviews. I was really nervous beforehand, and frantically read up on what to expect of your first wax. I've always had thick hair, and issues with in-growing hairs, and over the years have tried shaving, epilating and hair removal cream, but had never previously been brave enough for a wax for fear of pain and embarrassment! I had finally decided to face my fears...
I was greeted by the delightfully friendly therapist, who put me completely at ease. She was highly professional, polite, and definitely a perfectionist when it comes to waxing! I can honestly say, the pain was nowhere near as bad as I anticipated, and it was done swiftly and to a great standard. I couldn't believe I had been so scared of waxing for so many years. The therapist recommended to use Sudocrem for a few days to ease any soreness - a great tip which definitely works.
I was very pleased with the results.
After my holiday, I returned for my second wax. Again, the therapist was nothing but professional and charming. Once again I was pleased with the results. During this waxing session, I got chatting to the therapist about my skincare regime, and mentioned that I was after a new regime and trying some new products, She kindly gave me a skin consultation, and recommended some Demalogica products based on my skin type. She even threw in some great free samples. I loved all the products especially the Microfoliant which makes my face feel amazing.
Fast forward several weeks to today, when I went for my third wax - this time opting for the 'Hollywood Wax'. Today, the therapist mentioned she had a new type of waxing technique, the Cirepil non-strip wax, or hot wax. I was happy to try it, and was so glad I did! Rather than applying the wax then removing the hair with several strips, the wax is covered on a larger area, and left on for a few minutes, then removed in one larger section. This method is definitely quicker, and comes with much less pain, as it is all over at once. I also noticed less redness and less soreness afterwards. It is much more comfortable than the normal wax, and I would recommend it 1 million per cent. Once again today, I chatted to the therapist about my skincare products, and stocked up on a few favourite Dermalogica items, with again a free samply thrown in which I can't wait to try!
Having previously been a wax-virgin, I can safely say I will never again go back to other hair removal methods, and will continue to use this fabulous salon!

I go to the Rose Beauty Salon regularly for facials & have noticed a real difference since I started. The service is always very professional with products that are tailored to the needs of my skin. The overall experience is very relaxing & I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a good facial experience.
