I visited this spa a few months ago but just seen they are re-advertising the deal i originally bought back then so thought i'd write a quick review for people who are thinking of buying it now. I had the Three Cellulite-Reducing Lipocav sessions which to be honest i didn't see much of a difference, I definitely wouldn't have it done again as i don't think its worth the money. The machine used gives you little electric shocks (they don't hurt!) to break up fat cells.. but as i stated i didn't see an improvement. Like many people have stated the location isn't the best, but not too difficult to find. Nice spa and the beauty therapist was very nice and polite.
The stylist was about 10 late as I was first client of the day and there was no bubbly at the arrival as promised. The venue is a small corner salon on Clerkenwell Road but cozy. The stylist was friendly and offered me refreshments. I was happy with my haircut overall, so the salon is nothing special but I had quite positive experience nevertheless.
Lovely people at the shop. Location is not too bad. Great in terms of friendly staff service and booking is a ease. As for a hair cut/style, I'm still not too sure it would be my first choice . However, would recommend this, if you want your hair styled for a night out/ occasion.
I've recently been to JR Hair Studios and I received excellent service from Robert. He cut my hair exactly how I wanted and I really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere he created. Apart from the haircut, you also get a very relaxing head massage not to mention an amazing massage chair! Everything accompanied with good music. I def recommend this place... and Robert!
I purchased a deal off a group website to visit ‘JR Studios’ – I really wish I hadn’t! Having my hair washed was ok, despite the chap singing Mariah Carey extremely loudly. I loved the chair which raised me up horizontally+ massaged my back. Unfortunately this was the best part of my visit. Following my return to the cutting chair (without a towel around my head), the hairdresser leapt straight into cutting my hair without much consultation at all. The mirror in front of me was tilted upwards so I could not see what was going on and within 5minutes half my hair had been chopped off. After the 5 minute cut I asked if my hair could be thinned. I pretty much received a refusal to this as he thought my hair was quite thin anyway! He then proceeded to blow dry my hair and burnt my head several times. When he realised that I was in pain, he gave one of his only comments of the entire visit ‘oh, you don’t dry your hair much at home do you’. Having purchased the voucher worth a sum of £50, I was expecting something more than the £40 hair cut (although I really don’t feel the haircut was worth this amount). Having to ask for this, I was offered eyebrow threading (I don’t have my eyebrows threaded). Therefore I ended up giving them my £50 voucher for a wash, 5 minute haircut (which was absolutely terrible and not styled at all) and blow dry which left my head burnt in various places. I would never recommend this salon and will not be going back. A word of warning to anyone who is self-conscious: the salon is situated on a busy road and if you are unlucky enough to sit on the road facing the side road, there are likely to be many cars and buses stopping at the traffic lights and lots of people looking in at you having your haircut (this can be made worse if you are the only one in the salon like I was). Total disaster!
