I visited for a luxury manicure, and was disappointed at the results. I wasn't asked what length I would like: the manicurist filed them right down, to the quick, without checking with me first. (I had mentioned that I liked them quite short, but I didn’t mean this!) After I left, I realised there were rough patches and sharp points on several fingernails, and I had file them again when I got home - difficult as the nails had been trimmed so short there was hardly anything left to take off.
