The balyage looks great, I was very nervous as I hate the look of a harsh line but the stylist blended the colour well. I would have preferred a more subtle look as discussed but it's grown on me now. Unfortunately it was let down on leaving when I was charged a further £55 on top of £150 I had pre paid for this treatment for a blow dry (wasn't really blow dried curly properly as requested and the stylist had to use tongs which do not hold curls in my hair!) and a very quick fringe trim (after explaining about a previously bad experience a week before where my fringe was very poorly cut) I was annoyed as these costs were not discussed and I felt as though I had paid enough. I certainly wouldn't have paid £30 for a poor blow dry or £15 for a fringe trim when that is usually complimentary. Also I had to pay for two glasses of water, it was a very hot day and tap water was not offered during the 3 hour treatment and would have been fine. A really cheap way of making a quick extra buck and not expected at a salon of this calibre in Knightsbridge! The owner/receptionist was very rude when I challenged these extra costs, and politely suggested they should be more open about pricing beforehand to save embarrassment. I had just popped out quickly to the salon and hadn't bought my purse as I'd already paid! For this reason I won't return. Advice: this isn't how to secure regular customers!!
The staff could not have been nicer to me when I made a really last minute appointment, and managed to squeezed me in. I went for quite a drastic haircut, long layers to a 'lob'. My stylist was a junior called Gul, and oh my gosh she was amazing. So friendly, she made me feel at ease and did the most incredible job on my hair. I've never been so happy with a haircut! The blow dry was equally fantastic, and for £70 all in all somewhere as salubrious as Knightsbridge, I was overall really happy with my visit. I can't wait to come back for some ballayage and would recommend this place to all my friends.
