I was nervous about this, I know the area, I live in the area and I didn't have high hopes for that shop I've walked past a few times, but it was cheap so I thought maybe I'd find a local gem. I arrived, I was directed into a small pink room with peeling wallpaper. The beautician stood there and watched me get undressed which was uncomfortable to say the least, there was no effort made for my privacy. She didn't look me in the eyes once, and she barely spoke other than to ask if I was ok three times, but it felt like protocol. There was no music, just my uncomfortable breathing and her heavy handed waxing.
The wax was scaldingly hot, and I had to point it out to her as she did not test/check/ask. The bed did not feel clean and comfortable, it was plastic covered and awkward to move on and her instructions about where she wanted my legs did not make sense for practicality and made the experience all the more awkward. For before and after care I was given talc and a small blob of "soothing" moisturiser. The beautician on completion told me I could book my next one now, and pay the same cheap price I had, she was pushy to say the least. I said I would think about it and proceeded to get dressed.
On leaving the shop, I was reminded that I could purchase a voucher for my next wax, again persistent but at least this girl had more charisma, I declined politely.
On arriving home I got out my tweezers to finish what I deemed a shoddy and painful job, to find wax on my nether regions.
I know it was cheap, but even so...

half leg wax doesn't mean wax one side of the leg and leave the other side. Lots of competition in the area. Don't bother with this one.

Hollywood & half leg wax.
I have been having these waxes in various locations for over ten years. I’ve moved to this area and used Singhar in Oxford Street before which was fine.
The lady was heavy handed, the wax was too hot. When I mentioned this, I was told ‘it’s really low’, did I say ten years and I have never had to mention the heat of the wax, I was actually jerking from the shock of how hot it was whenever she applied it.
I’ve gotten home to see half my leg hasn’t been waxed, half, she literally just did the inside of my legs and left the outer bits and a few left on the Hollywood. Again, I understand when they might be too short, but these were definitely not.
NEVER AGAIN, don’t bother, try somewhere else, they are more than useless, there are many other places in the area you could get a wax. They swing the door open when you’re half naked so if anyone were walking by they could see you. I asked if they had time to do some threading afterwards, I got ‘later’ and totally ignored when I left. They are cheap, but trust me, there are other places in the area just as cheap
I was very happy with the facial treatment and it was very relaxing. The stylists did a very good job and im very satisfied going back in there again soon and recommend.
