I chose Sabs because I wanted a ladies only experience and one that would allow for my sister to get a decent hair cut. Unfortunately I found that the hairdresser, while polite and pleasant and accommodating, was in a bit of a rush when doing my sister's haircut, to the point that she left a bit that was still long until I pointed it out.
Then when it was my turn to have my hair washed and cut, I found that the sink where this would take place was still in view from outside. Even with the blinds down it didn't cover the front and to make matters worse there were a couple of teenage boys that came in a few times. I think it's very misleading for it to be marketed as a female only experience when I didn't feel comfortable and it was clear they didn't have a blind for the middle section of the salon. This made it difficult for me as someone who observes hijab.
In terms of health and safety I was also concerned - there were multiple fan heaters everywhere including on unsteady surfaces, and I saw they were drying towels on another which for sure is a fire hazard. Given I was in there with my sister who is only five years old, I was pretty concerned.
The place also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I'm disappointed with my experience and I think they need to do a lot to bring this salon up to scratch, especially for those bringing children with them.
