Haircut was fine, but if I'm paying £30 to see a "senior stylist", I expect them to be able to confidently judge how my hair should be cut according to the shape of my head, face, etc. They are the stylists, not me. I shouldn't have to micro-manage their work.
Unfortunately in this case, I had to specify everything even after saying "it's up to you; you're the professional".
It's likely they're better with women's hair; that seems to be their focus. If you're a guy, don't bother.
