This salon is great but when you are getting your treatment especially eyelash tint, as tou cant see anything , you feel a little isolated as the staff speak in their language over the top of you, and i feel it is very rude
Terrible experience visiting this ‘salon’ which actually isn’t called Elly’s outside. Was kept waiting for 25 minutes, during which time nobody offered any explanation as to how long I would have to wait or approached me.The place was extremely dirty and untidy. The girl who performed my Hollywood wax seemed very rushed and having had this done many times elsewhere I have never felt pain like I did here. Awoke this morning to my ‘bits’ covered in bruising. The hair was also not completely removed and I will have to go and get it done properly elsewhere. Would not recommend this place at all.
Lady was lovely but took all the hair off! Had booked in for a Brazilian which I’ve had several times before at the same place. I also said I wanted some hair left, which she acknowledged then removed. She was really quite rough too, compared to the other girls who have done it before. Wish I’d asked her name as would go back for waxing, but as long as she didn’t do it.
I booked this appointment as another one I had fell through and it was difficult to get hair and makeup on a Sunday near enough to my home. The salon didn’t exist when I arrived - it seems it had previously been taken over by Sara’s next door. I’d deliberately not chosen Sara’s because of the pictures.
When I arrived, I wasn’t even sure they had my appointment, and thought about leaving. The place was filthy, with overflowing wax pots, brushes, polishes, unclean sponges and surfaces that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.
The staff were nice enough, but I still wasn’t put at ease. My makeup was due to be ‘natural’ and, while it was ok makeup it didn’t suit my skin tone at all, and I had to adjust it quite a bit when I got home. I had a ‘hair up’ appointment, but only wanted my curls refreshed (I’d had my hair cut the day before). My hair stylist, again, was nice, but I didn’t leave with the soft flowing curls I was expecting and I paid £40 for the pleasure of fixing it all when I got home.
Overall, as nice as the ladies in the salon were, I’d avoid.
