Really good treatment from Anna at Sense Spa. she was attentive and diligent. i almost floated out of there! Cant wait to go back.
small note a bit of a weird smell in the ladies changing rooms. but apart from that, almost perfect day :)
Really imposing / grand building. Upon entering it you feel very regal! The massage was lovely. I also ordered a pedicure as an extra though and was shocked to be charged £70 for it - I could have gone to the Dorchester instead at that price! Don't make the mistake I did - if you have an extra treatment you want to book, do so via Treatwell where it is £55. I was a good pedicure though - no complaints on the quality of the treatment. I had the full day and afternoon tea. Yes, it's relaxing, but you will likely get very bored as there is no Jacuzzi or plunge pool or swimming pool. You will lie around on a bed most of the day. And, given it is a full day experience, of course you will get hungry at lunchtime, and need to change and leave the spa in order to eat - there are only apples to eat in the spa! The afternoon tea was generous, however, I did not like the cakes. They were too sweet, too rich - for my tastes. However, that is a personal opinion - I only had two bites and was done. Good champagne though, average scones. All in all, a bit of a middle of the road experience.
Spa and afternoon tea package is great value. After a steam, sauna and shower I then settled down with a magazine and cup of tea in the waiting room. By the time my therapist came for me I was super relaxed! Massage was the best I have ever had.
Followed by afternoon tea that was delicious! Staff were incredible, food and ambiance fantastic! More cake than I could handle, but a doggy bag for home :)
