Went with the groupon brazilian blow-dry voucher. Honestly one of the worst hairdressing experiences of my life. BB didn't work, if anything I felt my hair was in worse condition afterwards. The blow-dry itself was the worst I've ever had, I've curly hair and they didn't dry it in sections, so the result was not professional. The haircut was average. And I wasn't offered so much as a glass of water. I wouldn't go back - even having gone with a voucher, feel that it was a complete waste of money.
Booked for a BB, a groupon deal. Have had done before but wasnt impressed with previous treatment. went for this because of the organic productused. Was very impressed with salon, music not too loud. staff polite and explained whole process to me which is about 2 hours. Was throughly happy with end results and will definately go back for a colour next time. Any negative review is unwarranted or simply individuals postings most have too high an expectation.
purchased a Groupon voucher for Brazilian Blow Dry and made an appointment, from this first point of contact the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Day before my appt I looked up for directions and got a website (not even sure if it this one) with a very bad review - I thought oknow but turned up for my appt anyhow hoping for the best. As soon as I stepped inside, I thought the review cannot have been about this place - they were extremely friendly and so helpful, first the receptionist and then the stylist went into great detail about the procedure, I feel they were totally honest and as I had had it done already twice - they were keen to explain the different types and what their particular one involved. Immediately I was offered a drink (and at least another 5 offers were made before I did accept a coffee) Whilst I was there several other clients had treatments and everyone of them inc 1 brazilian and 2 highlights all expressed how pleased they were with the results. To be honest I have never written a review on anything before but felt compelled to as the actual service received was so totally the opposite to the review I had read. Aside from the service the treatment (which was 3rd one, as mentioned I had 2 elsewhere) was the best one I have had and will definitely go back and certainly recommend the salon.
I am so sad to read some of the negative reviews with regards to Backstage LA. This salon has the most experienced staff that i have ever visited within London salons. I had my colour done at Backstage and was given a wonderful consultation by my stylist, the results were beautiful. The stylist answered all of my questions that I had as my hair has been through quite alot previously. Take Backstage LA for what it is, a cool salon, fun music and atmosphere (you can clearly see that these girls are friends and fun but VERY professional) and very chilled. You must visit this salon, i will be back again and again!!!!
The first thing you notice about Backstage LA is the glamour, The Salon is gorgeous. The atmosphere is relaxed and buzzy, like you’ve walked into somewhere full of old friends. It’s kind of unusual for a London hairdressers, which are often full of ego but there the Stylists are open, chatty, and ready to help. Now My hair, when I walked into BACKSTAGE LA for the first time was drab, That’s the only word for it. I’d been dying it dark for ages, then had a round of highlights, but it had gone dull and mousey. What I loved about it was the honesty. The consultation was excellent. My Colourist, took me through various different colour options, when we mutually decided on a colour, explained that it may take a couple of sessions to get me there, due to the residual dark dye on some of my hair. This was fine, you absolutely trust what these ladies are saying to you they kind of exude confidence. So, I sat back and chit-chatted with my colourist (Hayley) while she foiled my extensive amount of hair. A few hours later – we checked out the results – and LOVED it. My hair was creamy and natural looking, and I had that whole bouncy “just stepped out of the salon” feeling. However and this is what I really loved about this salon. when we stepped into the light, Brooke noticed that some of the dark from my previous colour was showing through in some sections. So, they insisted I come back in and have those bits touched up, as they don’t like to let anyone get away looking anything less than perfect. Now that my friends, is Customer Service. A couple of weeks later, I popped back in, and they fixed these few problem (I say problem, I’d have never noticed them, it’s just their trained eye…) areas with no fuss, and it looks better than ever! The girls at BACKSTAGE LA all have a distinct pattern that they use when colouring, which means that when you return, they can always pick up the previous highlights, leaving your roots and colour looking natural and never stripy. It’s one of the things that sets them apart from other Salons – they really are experts at what they do and take a real pride in making sure everyone who leaves there leaves there smiling and looking absolutely fabulous. So yes, I will most definitely be back to BACKSTAGE LA, and suggest you head along there too if you’re looking for a fantastic colour in a great Salon. The staff are fabulous, the results brilliant and you get a blinking awesome cup of coffee while you’re there too.
