Visited this salon last week for Brazilian Blowout Treatment (with Groupon voucher). The salon was clean, neat & tidy, the staff were super-friendly & made it a very pleasant experience. Very pleased with the Brazilian treatment, the salon & the stylists. 10/10!
I went the BackstageLA for a Groupon offered Brazilian Blowdry in April 2011. They did an excellent job and I would go back to this salon. I have done a number of Groupon Brazilian Blowouts at various salons in London and I liked Bankstage LA a lot. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was prompted to write this review because of another review warning of a Groupon scam and to avoid this salon. My experience was great and I am hoping Backstage LA does another Groupon offer!
GROUPON SCAM!!!!!GROUPON SCAM!!!!GROUPON SCAM!!!!GROUPON SCAM!!!!GROUPON SCAM!!!! Don't just take your business elsewhere, tell all your friends and let all of London know that this place is to be avoided. Please take notice of what emmyemmy my said and just don't go here. They have disabled the reviews in allinlondon.com because they were all so bad. I am very suspicious that the two good reviews are plants by staff. Rude, incompetent, and taking groupers for a ride. Had to wait for ages for a sub standard haircut which I immediately went to Toni and guy to get fixed, they are horrifically bad.
I also was very pleased with the results. I had the £39 Groupon voucher and I came out with exactly what I wanted - a great cut and great colour!! OK so its not the most luxurious of salons but i felt relaxed and i came out happy with my hair - wish i think is quite hard to find these days! I also got a drink straight away, didn't have to wait and a whole bunch of new magazines as well as not having to make small talk.
One of the best salon experiences I've had... For me, going to the hairdresser is how the average Jo feels about going to the dentist, or how your dog feels about going to the vet. I despise it, having always felt that they don't listen to you and do what they 'think' suits you rather than what you want. I feel like they talk too much... especially whilst cutting! I dislike the small talk you have to make and how you feel awkward sharing details about your life whilst the stranger getting their hair done next to you listens in. I was throroughly delighted when I walked into this ever-so-chilled place, playing great music, the hairdressers didn't give you that up-and-down-I'm better-than-you look, instead were rather helpful and polite (somewhat rare these days). My hairdresser (wish I remembered her name), a Latvian lady, listen and gave me exactly what I wanted. Concentrated whilst cutting my hair. I was very happy with the service and results - would go here again for sure!
