It was pretty bad. The guy just dis whatever he wanted to. They charged me 30£ and they just cut my hair. There wasn’t any massage at all, neither a hot towel treatment. The overall experience was awful and I ended up with a really bad haircut
I was warmly welcomed by the lovely Maurizio. He sat down and took the time to listen to what I wanted and the result was PERFECT! Highlights and a curly blowdry. Maurizio is super friendly and very good at his job. The complimentary drinks are also a bonus. The other staff (I didn't get their names) were also incredibly friendly.
I can't wait to return!
I had walked past this salon as I work locally. After deciding I needed a 'good' haircut, as I'd resorted to visiting cheaper salons as I have my hair cut/touched up every 10 days or so, I gave Shadi Salon a try. I booked a cut with Shadi himself as I thought it would be worthwhile.
The salon was nice inside, large and clean with a interior designed fit out. The cut itself was excellent, and Shadi took his time from start to finish (he wasn't slow, rather a lot was included which was great). As well as the cut and a pre and post wash were some nice extras-ear flaming which I value, eyebrow trim, hot towel/moisturiser and an arm massage. All these little extras matter and the ear flaming/eyebrow trim you don't get at a British salon yet are grooming musts.
It was clear prior to booking that he was experienced and it was more than evident when I had walked out. I'd definitely recommend, and working locally I'm very likely to visit regularly. My only suggestion is it would be great to have a set price option for a touch up, i.e. Not only neck/sideburns but sides and back too. I have a full haircut every 6 weeks or so but would like to utilise this interim option much more frequently.
