I was very disappointed at how I was received at this salon. As soon as the first woman I spoke to realised I'd come through Treatwell (i.e. that I'd gotten a discount) I was basically 2nd tier. All staff members spoke to each other in a different language, and loudly, sometimes yelling across the main floor to each other. It made me feel quite disconnected and just plain unwelcome. The only plus side was that the person who did my hair was at least pleasant.
Will definitely not be returning any time soon.
I went for a quick wash and cut and I got a quick wash and cut. Nice place staff was nice although a bit quite (not that I mind particularly). The place was clean and I like the cut even though he cut a bit more then what I asked. Although I like it ;)
The hairdresser I had at Sheer Bliss this time around was quite pushy. She didn't really ask me what I wanted done and instead spent a lot of time telling me what was wrong with my hair. The actual haircut took all of about ten minutes and while it looks good I don't really feel like it should've cost as much for so little time spent. At the end of the haircut I said "is that it?" and the hairdresser got very defensive and also told me that she didn't do much because I wanted to grow my hair out, which I never said and she never asked me if I did actually want to grow it out (I don't). I don't think I'll be coming back to Sheer Bliss again which is a shame because the price and convenience of location is excellent.
