I went for a trim as I had split ends and left with a catastrophic haircut. Different strands had been individually trimmed to get rid of the split ends, irrespective of the overall hair length. I ended up with longer bits at the front, random shorter pieces at the back and suddenly had about 6 different layers to my hair having previously been one length. I had to return to get it chopped much shorter than I wanted to have some kind of acceptable hairline, under the guidance of my boyfriend.
