Very good value for money and professional.

I have previously given 5* for all aspects due to the receptionist who greeted me warmly and the therapist who did an exceptional treatment. However, my recent visit was appalling for the following reasons:
1. I have called up the day earlier to book and the person I spoke to told me it would be £48 however when I arrived for my session, the receptionist told me it's £50. As it was only a mild top-up, I abided although I don't think it should be the case
2. The receptionist asked if I had a preferred therapist and I told her I would like to get the same one as before as she was amazing. The receptionist replied by stating there wasn't a way for her to check who attended to me last time although I was sure she could look it up on the system. As she didn't sound too friendly, I just went for any therapist that was available.
3. The therapist mainly did pressing and standing on me instead of actually massaging to remove the knots. Plus the spots weren't even right! I have specifically mentioned to focus on my shoulder and neck area as it was the reason why I visited the spa, however, to no avail. I left feeling more uncomfortable and tensed.
4. I told the receptionist my experience (point 3) but I was given a cold reply; 'what do you want me to do?'. I asked if I could pay a quick neck and shoulder massage but was told there wasn't any availability. Also, I told her my previous therapist was amazing and that I felt so much better after the last session, and poof she managed to dig out the name of my previous therapist from the system now! Unfortunately, she was a cover therapist and I do not know where she works permanently now. :(
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. Although this may be a one-off as my previous visit was flawless, I don't think I would be visiting this spa again and would continue looking for the therapist that attended to me last visit.
As I would put my experience down to bad luck, I wouldn't dissuade people for visiting this spa. Heres a tip if you're visiting the spa for the first time: If you're are unhappy with the therapist, voice out within the first 15 minutes and you can get a refund! (I only found out about this as I was leaving)
