I saw the Hollywood wax deal on this site for £15 a 50% discount. I work in the westend and could have paid £30 for a professional 5 star treatment. As I was due to go on holiday in a few days, I wanted to save on costs. I called before hand to confirm the price was correct on this site and asked what I needed to do to get it at that price. The lady stated she will do it at that price because I qouted the website. I asked her if she was sure because I didn't want to get there to be charged the original price. She assured me with a promise and cleared it with the manager.
On arrival I was surprised at the condition of the salon, for the original prices they charge. It is very dated with no ambiance. No music, no heating. They offered to take my coat, I said I would keep it on because it was cold and not very well.
The treatment room was a cold n dank room. So I still had to keep my jacket on whilst having the treatment. It was as if they were trying to save on utility bills. The therapist used extremely sticky wax, which got everywhere, all over my freshly manicured nails. The type of waxed used, seemed very budget, my Veet wax at home was much better. Just ashame I can't give myself a Hollywood. She left so much hair behind, stated because the hair was too short, which was 5 wks growth, of when I always get it done at other salons without any problems. She went onto yanking the rest of the hair out with her fingers n gloves. I said it was hurting more than wax strips and to use teeezers. She said it's not good to use tweezers, because it can pinch the skin. I think they just didn't have any, because there weren't any beauty tools in the room. So I left with patches of hair that I had to tweezer myself.
When paying the receptionist stated it was £30. I explained the lady said it was £15, she said there are no notes on the file to say this. I argued my case, my experience etc. The receptionist said the offer was for day time customers only. Although my booking was for 4pm. It has no time stipulation on the website. She shouted at me for the £30 in front of her customers. I refused to pay that much, so she responded with. "People like you should use groupon cheap bookings" I asked what wahanda was then. She said they were for regular clients that know how to spend money. I said if I wanted to spend £30 I would have gone to a more professional salon in the westend with better customer service. She said I should go there then. Then released the buzzer of the door to let me out. As though she had me locked in.
Most awful experience and extremely unprofessional.
This was the best Wax I have had, relatively painless! Yolanda was quick, friendly, professional gave lots of advice! This will now be my permanent salon!
