I had a 'luxury manicure' and a pedicure. Calling the manicure luxury was a complete stretch and honestly I wouldn't recommend this place to get your nails done. I just wanted the skin around my nails sorted out really as they were looking a bit ragged, but she didn't really touch that at all, and when I asked her to she seemed taken aback and then clearly didn't know what she was doing. Similarly, the polish application was terrible. It wasn't smooth and I had it on my skin in places, and missing in others. She didn't shape my nails nor apply any kind of hand cream or anything. It was a glorified file and polish, which I could have done better myself. In fact when I got home I completely removed the polish, shaped my nails myself and repainted them. The pedicure was fine but was on an uncomfortable chair with my foot on a wobbly rest thing that fell over whenever the pedicurist got up, so it wasn't exactly relaxing. I hadn't expected it to be wonderful given the existing reviews but thought how wrong could a mani pedi go? Answer: pretty bad.
Really grateful to the massage therapist for a superb and firm deep tissue massage. I was suffering from tension and anxiety due to giving up caffeine, and this massage helped me enormously. All was right with the world after. Three days later, and all is still well!
The treatment room was very clean and comfortable and my therapist was very friendly. I would have liked some more pressure on the massage but all in all good value.
