Therapists were excellent as was afternoon tea. Treatments were good quality and the hot tub was relaxing.
Showers were a problem, 1 stuck on too hot, 1 filling up in the tray and bringing back up bits from drain. We had to use the men’s shower. 1 shower between 7 was not good. It meant some of us were late for our afternoon, not helped by therapists walking past our room a few times to check if we had left and looking frustrated.
The therapist was lovely. I booked a pedicure based on it being gel nails, but was made to pay an extra fee by the manager as 'the description on the website is wrong'. I'd suggest correcting the website!!
The finish wasn't great, bits missing which I noticed when I got home. Looked awful!
I wouldn't go back.
Nice hotel, clean rooms, lovely grounds and a wood next door so somewhere to walk before dinner and after breakfast. No swimming pool but a nice hot tub which we had to ourselves for an hour. The spa treatment was very relaxing. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful but I do hate it when you are on a DBB rate and you have to spend 10 mins working out what you can actually choose for dinner which keeps to your allocation, this is most hotels though. We would return.
