The spa ambience was good but I was surprised that there isn't a relaxing space where you can read, enjoy light refreshments or even a drink. There is a waiting area but it feels very much like that and there's a basic coffee machine but no magazines or music.
The lighting was very dim in the pool area and I suspect this was to disguise lack of maintenance. The staff were however very friendly and professional and my daughter and I both really enjoyed the treatment. Overall it was an enjoyable stay but the spa element wasn't quite what I expected!
Nice spa - quiet, had pool to ourselves at first. Staff friendly and helpful. Sauna, steam room were spacious. Treatments were excellent. Looking a little tired around the edges (paint peeling, bit grubby) and missed a jacuzzi or hot tub. Would go again on a £59 deal which included 2 treatments and lunch. Lunch was basic - sandwich and a drink. We paid extra to upgrade the lunch which was fine but did expect a little more.
Spa and some other areas were in need of refurb but we saw some signs up saying this was due to happen so i`m sure it`ll be lovely for next time. Reception was under staffed and those there were quite rushed and didn't take the time to ask if we had enjoyed as we were leaving.
Had an absolutely fantastic day, they staff were so helpful, the spa facilities were excellent and the treatments were excellent. Will definitely be back.
A lovely relaxing spa day with fantastic treatments. Staff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed the lunch in the restaurant and were happy to upgrade for a minimal charge.
Only downside was lockers were on a different floor from the relax spa pool area so there was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing and there wasn't a jacuzzi.
