Overall, would definitely recommend.
We visited on a weekday, bought an all day spa session.
It was relatively free, less than 10 people, which was great.
The venue had plenty of thick soft robes and towels, very clean lockers and showers.
The treatment rooms airy and very relaxing.
Plenty of fruit infused water and fruit to help ourselves to.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Therapist questioned my choice of facial as she felt I was too young to need it, she was wrong (I'm older than I look), which was a nice touch.
The only downside was the facilities for food, or lack of. Having chosen to spend the whole day there, it was a bit of a hassle to shower and get dressed, blow dry hair etc to have lunch in the restaurant, and then come back again, took up about 2 hours of our time.
Too busy. Tiny pool which people insisted on doing noisy lengths in. Tiny sauna. Steam room was tiny and not working. Not enough lounges (only 4!) for people to relax in and people were fighting over sun lounges because there was nowhere to relax.
The changing rooms were messy, small and over crowded. Used towels left everywhere. The changing room floor was damp. Not big enough to accommodate the amount of customers and to maintain a calm and ambient experience. This is an example of poor management and not prioritising the customer experience.
It is supposed to be a spa and yet it was a noisy place with nowhere for people to relax. Staff apologised but did nothing to help us or encourage us to come back (e.g. a complimentary drink would have gone a long way). I wouldn't recommend and it certainly does not compete with other London spas. I was very sad and disappointed with my experience. I felt I was overcharged and had I not paid in advance I would not have stayed. We informed staff that it was a special day (my partner's 30 birthday) and we had booked to have a special and relaxing day. Yet the experience we got wasn't far off a local leisure centre in terms of a busy, dirty, damp changing room and a busy pool with a token Jacuzzi on the side. It is quite unbelievable that they don't have enough sun lounges to allow people to relax, read a book, hang out, given they are selling spa days. This isn't what a spa is like. The picture is not indicative: add in lots of people, grimy tiles and strewn used towels everywhere.
50 minute foot and leg massage and scalp and neck massage was great. Lovely relaxation room and the swimming pool was a great temperature. The jacuzzi was lovely!! There was unlimited fruit on hand! It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience! P.s. I didn't have the body exfoliation treatment, callus treatment or use the stream and sauna so I cannot comment on them but I had to rate them to be able to finish this review!!
We had a lovely day. The facilities were good though we felt it would have been improved if there were a few more loungers. The treatments were excellent and the staff friendly and professional. All in all, a great day.
