I had the spa day with afternoon tea package which was lovely! My therapist was very friendly and the treatments were excellent. I had a back scrub and massage, followed by a facial, using aromatherapy oil, these treatments were amazing! I left feeling really relaxed.
The facilities at the spa are good, nice little gym, good sized (for London) pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The only thing to remember about this spa is that guests from the hotel have free access so there was always someone splashing in the pool or having a conversation which is fine, but might not be idea if you want a totally quiet and relaxing day. The other thing I noticed is that around the pool there were a few used towels/ plastic cups that did not get cleared up. As I was there for the whole day they were still there in the afternoon when I left, it would not be hard to ask staff to check this area more often.
The afternoon tea was great, just the right amount of sandwiches and cakes, with a pianist playing in the background, lovely!
Overall this spa day was really nice with the treatments and afternoon tea both excellent
The receptionist was in a really bad mood and nearly ruined the experience as she couldn't be bothered to re-fill the fruit bowl or take us on a tour around the spa. The facilities are dated and not kept to the cleanest standard, especially the showers. The fruit water is served in plastic cups and we were given brown, old robes to wear. Thankfully, the treatments were amazing and masseuses very friendly so we managed to relax properly. The sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool were very pleasant also, although - as I mentioned before - not very clean.
