I spent a lot of time finding the right place where I could chill out in a pool and sauna before my massage and a lot of places had time or place restrictions to the spa if you didn't have 2 hour massage. The landmark didn't have such restrictions, not on their website or on the treatwell app. However when calling the spa the day before to confirm my place, the receptionist told me I could only be there an hour before as I had only booked 50 min. I told him this wasn't written anywhere but he kept insisted that it was so I went through all websites and T&C but couldn't see it anywhere, hence I called back and he then told me it was written in a confirmation which was sent directly from the spa to the guests. I told him that I never received that email as I booked via treatwell and that this is something they should inform BEFORE making a reservation, not afterwards. He refused to say he was wrong or that the information was missing on websites and said that he would make an exception for me on this occasion only and let me stay longer, like he was doing me a favor ( when clearly they/he was wrong). I show up the next day around 12 on a Saturday and the spa was practically empty so I had all facilities to myself which was great. The staff onsite were very friendly and no one said anything about me being there 2 hours and not 1 before my appointment. The massage was one of the bests I've ever had, can unfortunately not remember the girl's name. When I left about 3 the spa was full of people.
Overall I would say I had a great experience once I got there, but the guy telling me I could only be there a limited amount of time and then refusing to accept he was wrong kind of destroyed the experience and anticipation of going there. They need to sort that out so they clearly say exactly how long you are allowed to use the spa for (on the spa home website and treatwell) and inform the staff how to deal with these kind of questions so the client can still enjoy the experience.
We booked a spa day and afternoon tea and had a had a lovely experience. Staff were great. The spa was a bit smaller than I expected. Relaxation grotto was cramped and too dark with no real ambiance.
Nevertheless the treatments were good and the good value for money.
Considering this is a 5* hotel Spa the facilties are very gym like. There is not alot to offer. Steam room can only fit max 3 adults. There are 3 shower rooms and considering the time of year the spa was busy with treatments and guests so we had to wait to use all the facilities. We didn't find it very relaxing and the staff seem to be busy keeping themselves busy that no one seemed approachable. Was not impressed at all with the overall place. We spent no more than 1 hour felt underwhelmed overall.
