The Landmark spa was ok, but it's a bit pricey for what you get for your money. I was really looking forward to a relaxing time in the relaxation room, but that wasn't possible because they only had four couches available. My facial and back, neck and shoulder massage, carried out by Leoni was very good, she did a fab job on my back and loosed a lot of knots. Overall, not a bad place, I may return their sometime, if on a discounted rate like I got through Wahanda.
A lovely relaxing spa day - ambiance was peaceful (apart from children's swimming hour, we hid in the relaxation room at this point), facilities are good, food was tasty and treatments were great.
Very pleasant and welcoming staff.
The spa facilities are really cleaned and spacious.
The massages were done in a very professional and efficient way.
And the lunch box was delicious.
It does definitely worth the treat!
Everything about this spa is fantastic, the ambience, the treatments, the gym, the spa , the food and last but by no means least the staff. It is in one of London's historic Victorian railway hotels so the ambience is just beautiful a wonderful mix of old and new.
We will be back next month for more.
A friend and I went to the Landmark Spa this weekend for the 'Indulge' day package - as the name suggests, a seriously indulgent day with 180 mins treatments, smoothies on arrival, lunch in the Winter Garden, a goodie bag and of course access to the spa facilities.
The therapists and treatments were absolutely wonderful. My friend and I found that we had quite different (both very positive) experiences despite having the same treatments, as the therapists were so focussed on tailoring what they were doing to our separate needs, which was excellent.
I've given 4 stars rather thanks 5 as although the spa and treatments were wonderful, we were a bit disappointed with the way the package unfolded - booking was extremely easy, but after that it went a bit downhill. There didn't seem to be a clear understanding in the spa of the package we had booked, so in fact we only received the smoothies at the end of the day rather than on arrival, and only because we asked. This is minor compared to the lunch in the Winter Garden - despite the booking having been made by the spa, they had no idea that we were there as part of a spa day or that this meant the 2 course lunch was included, so it was fortunate that I double checked which was the correct menu for us before we ordered This meant that there was quite a wait while a manager was consulted , and we felt a bit like second class citizens. This was exacerbated when we ordered a glass of champagne each in addition to the menu included, and after taking our order but before bringing the drinks the waiter returned to our table to ensure we knew we would have to pay for the champagne. As both my friend and I have been to restaurants before we did realise this is how it would work (!) - actually we felt rather embarrassed and as if they were suggesting we couldn't afford to be there... When we were actually spending over £600 in the spa that day! I appreciate that this is a hotel restaurant and standards are expected - we were half way through a spa day so although we were dressed (ie not in robes) we hadn't put makeup on - perhaps this altered how the staff saw us, but that's not reasonable if the lunch is part of a spa day, and also I expected better from this calibre hotel.
So we weren't particularly happy about the Winter Garden, but really enjoyed the rest of the day in the actual Spa. This is a really wonderful spa and I can't wait to come back.
