The deal said a 55 min massage but I only got a 40 minute massage and the therapist was quite rough so it wasnt that relaxing to be honest. When I arrived I had to wait 10-15 minutes as my therapist was late, so it was a bit irritating to see people come in and get seen before me. I dont understand why they couldnt have shuffled things around so I could see the first available therapist, as the other people that had come in were Wahanda deals also.
In all honesty I left there feeling more knotted up than when I went it and I had to book another massage a couple days later to get rid of the knots. However on a positive note the room itself was nice and relaxing - and all of the staff were polite. I personally wouldnt go back as the spa is too far away from me, but I would recommend it to other people in the area, as they do a lot of good services at reasonable prices. I do realise I could've caught the spa on a bad day, but this is my honest opinion of my experience on that day.
I was a little apprehensive as I approached as this spa is set within the local municipal sports centre but it is just fab and so is the centre...and the attached cafe is probably better than most cafe restaurants in London. What a find...I just wish I lived in Camden Borough as anyone who does and is still paying commercial gym rates, when fantastic gem is on their doorstep, needs their head examining!
The only downside to the spa is that it doesn't have it's own loo and you need to use the one in the gym changing room (which is why I've only given it 4 out of 5 for facilities).
The spa suite is pleasant and the staff are very friendly. The therapist explained what she doing throughout and asked me the right questions about allergies and injuries. She gave me the time I needed to get ready beforehand and after and the massage was just great. Highly, highly recommended!
Excellent therapist who explained the treatment before proceeding tio give a very good massage.
The treatment room and massage table were of a very high standard and comfortable.
Actual location of the Spa in a leisure centre is not the best but once inside the Spa, you forget where you are.
I booked to have my facial done last Sunday afternoon as a treat for myself. The ambience in the spa was really calm and relaxing, the treatment room was tastefully decorated and the staff were pleasant. My therapist asked if I was allergic to shellfish as she explained that the ingredients contained algae, but I was fine with this. All in all, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience with a friendly yet professional therapist.
I planned a joint massage as a birthday present to my boyfriend. When we arrived we completed a short medical questionnaire and within minutes we where gettin undressed ready for our full body massage. The massage room was warm, with soft lighting and had soothing jungle music! Perfect! The therapists did an amazing job, we felt very relaxed that evening and fell into a very long nap! Result! The staff where friendly and we would definitely come back again and for the £20 bargain price tag per person, it's definitely value for money!
