My boyfriend and I went to this spa on a Monday, and were glad that it wasn’t too crowded. The relaxation lounge and treatment rooms was the most relaxing part of the spa. Clean and good atmosphere.
When this Spa doesn’t get top marks from me, it’s because the Thermal spa was not well enough cleaned, people had left RUBBISH in the steam room and tiles were dirty or had fallen off. Not ok! The jacuzzi was too crowded and the hammam benches weren’t warm.
The treatments were good. The lady Lucy who gave me a body scrub was amazing, friendly and made me relax completely - that’s important because these treatments can be a bit intimidating. However, the relaxation was short for my part, because I suddenly got another therapist for my massage and facial. We had no chemistry, she felt withheld and made me feel like I was just another client on her schedule. Quite disappointing, but I’m also a bit sensitive with people’s vibes. Chemistry is a big thing for me.
80£ for this package feels a bit overpriced when the venue is pretty far out and the facilities not optimal. I guess you mostly pay for the treatments, which were alright, if you end up with a good therapist.
My first visit to the the spa experience, Waltham Forest with my sister. The spa facilities were nice but poorly laid out, with staff walking through with individuals not using the facilities.. The steam room and sauna were excellent, the hydro pool on the other hand was very small the jets not really powerful enough. The relaxation lounge was large with free water and herbal teas but lack ambience. Overall good value for money, will use again
Spa is more basic than for example Ironmonger Row, but for local amenities it’s great. Good to have access to the pool via the spa too. Pink lady apples were a bonus (can’t stand the usual Granny Smiths)!
Adequate, would be nicer if all facilities were on one floor and you didnt have to leave the relaxation room through one of the 4 doors leading off to the corridor , then down stairs to the steam and sauna room.
The relaxation room has too many doors leading to changing rooms, treatment rooms, reception and down to steam. (which leads to noisy footsteps whilst you try to relax)
