Booked spa treatment together with my friend to spend time with her celebrating her bday, we emailed and called requesting the treatments to be at the same time so we are not waiting up for each other.
When we got to the spa the receptionist told us one staff member has called in sick and we will not be seen together. Whilst waiting the receptionist was telling off a staff member for coming back from lunch late, we found this very unprofessional and the fact she was having this conversation in front of customers.
There was customers outside complaining they have been waiting for 30 mins, receptionist disturbed a treatment and told the therapist she had gone over her time alnd had a customer waiting outside. It turned out thy got both Esther's mixed up and got the treatments the wrong way round which resulted in the one Esther getting extra time and the other Esther asking for a refund and walking out this was being discussed by the receptionist and therapists in front of customers. All the staff were in a panic and being pregnant waiting 50 mins for my treatment it's became very stressful for me and my friend who came to destress for her bday. My treatment was booked for 15.00 and I was called in at 15:50. I booked my friend a deep tissue massage for 50 mins and she was only given 30 mins and a gift voucher to come back for the remainder another day. Half a treatment was not a good birthday present for her and it did not help her to destress. The atmosphere was tense listening to the noise in reception. We booked on a female only day and there was a male customer waiting for treatment. I am four months pregnant and found his really stressful
