Waste of money and time.
I went with friends to this spa, we paid the concessionary rate, aside from the steam rooms there is nothing else good about this place. it's old, the layout of the place is confusing and there is no customer services, when the drinking water run out from the relaxing room we looked everywhere for someone to come and get us water but there was no one on sight.
We are lucky this spa is not our local otherwise even the concessionary rate is too much for it.
Really good appointment - the beautician took her time and didn't rush, did a really good job on my nails. Offered me a drink too whilst I was in the appointment, generally all round great customer service and would definitely go back!!
Perfectly situation for a speedy city retreat. Had a very relaxing 3 hour steam and sauna session. Would recommend highly. The variety of facilities are ample and you will not get bored in the three hours.
Note however, that you cannot book men only or women only days online. Spa London removed this option because people would arrive and be turned away. Make sure you know what days you're booking - best to confirm with the spa.
The massage itself was great and relaxing. However, my gripe is that I had paid for a 70 minute massage and all I ended up getting was 50 minutes. Massages are exactly cheap, so every minute is valuable! How's one supposed to keep track of the time when they're relaxing during their massage? I didn't realize until I was fully dressed and out the door, and at that point, I don't want to complain and strip again for just a short session. Very frustrating.
We arrived to the spa to be told that they had no towels/robes for us and had tried to contact us to tell us this (which I later found out they had tried to contact us 15 minutes before our massage began - absolute joke!!!) they then told us that the sauna was not hot enough so it might have an impact on the experience but we could go anyway. They also told us that our massages would have to be one after the other, despite the fact that I had booked us both in for 11am!!!
They told me I could rebook for another day but we were only in London for the weekend so I asked for a full refund instead. They were reluctant to give this to me and the 2 rude woman on reception EMILYA and SOPHIE finally told me they had to speak to the payment person but it would be through within 5 working days... Well here I am still waiting for that refund! Absolutely fuming at the fact that we have not been refunded and this should not be allowed to happen surely?! Very unprofessional! Will be calling the spa to get this sorted! very rude.
