Although this is a lovely setting I was disappointed. The massage was the lightest one I have ever had, even though I asked for it firm. The lady, as nice as she was, didn’t stop talking the entire time. It was nowhere near the 55mins I paid for. Also the lunch was lovely but I was charged extra for chips when they were already included and I ended up with two portions!
Still had a lovely day but with some disappointment.
Visited as a small group . The staff on recpition were friendly when we went to sort lockers most were used & ones left were broken asked for help but staff weren’t bothered . We found a working locker which we all managed to use . We were given robes & towels which were quite well worn & no slippers . On entering the pool area was nice & warm all the beds around pool were taken so left our towels etc on a ledge . The pool was warm enough for a nice swim the only down sides were children using pool and splashing so not very relaxing plus we couldn’t use jacuzzi as was always full also children using it I can only guess they were staying at hotel . Didn’t use sauna or steam room as once again no space . We booked the 1/2 day spa day with lunch but paid an extra £2 each for pasta so was quite pricey for what you got . The spa area was nice especially the relaxation room where you waited for your treatment . On to treatment review we booked so that we all went in at the same time for massage but one of our party waited an extra 10mins but came out the same time as the rest of us . She said her lady was sniffing the whole time & wasn’t overly friendly the massage was ok nothing special . I myself had a lady constantly sniffing and she could find the temperature control so was a bit chilly which was good for her not so good when you’re naked with a towel for warm ! So I wouldn’t recommend or return myself as wasn’t as good as we were expecting . This was part of a gift for my daughters 21st so she was slightly disappointed to say the least ! We have been to different spas across the country and unfortunately this wasn’t up to our usually standards . If you go here be prepared you may be luck enough to go when it’s not so busy fingers crossed .
