Visited with my daughter in law as a birthday treat for her. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel was excellent in every way and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room and food was fantastic as was the pool and spa facilities. We also had a very relaxing back massage. Would certainly recommend.
Had an ok time. Pool, saunas etc were basic. Lunch was good, although the option of fresh coffee would have been good, even at extra cost.
Hotel was lovely and room was fabulous. Brilliant location and food was scrumptious. Although I was very unimpressed with the service we received from our Spa treatment. I had booked weeks in advance and has a joint room booked for a massage for me and my partner for his birthday.
We were told be must not be late as it will eat into our treatment time which was booked for 4 o'clock. 4.10 came and still no one was there to fetch us, so I found a member of staff who said that heh had had to cancel our treatment as the lady was over running and wouldn't be available until the next day. As you can imagine I was very upset at this was pre booked for my partners birthday and had now meant that our plans for the next day were ruined as we would have to hang around at the hotel for our massage.
I explained how upset I was but wasn't given any other option then to wait until 2moro and even after speaking to the manager Chris was still left feeling very upset and disappointed.
A double room had been booked as my partner is very shy and wouldn't have wanted to go on his own hence why it was pre booked and I had told them this when explaining I wasn't happy with rescheduling.
I was then further disappointed to find that the next day 12/11/2016 we were again waiting for our treatments which were again delayed due to no communication being made and our massages being done in seperate rooms. As you can imagine I was extremely unhappy with the service by now.
Once all sorted although being 15 minutes delayed, our treatments were completed with no extra time added for the delay in starting time. So we only had 45 mins each massage.
Really enjoyed my visit to Spa Naturel at Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel & Spa. My therapist was really lovely and the facial was very relaxing.
