A birthday present to share with my mum. Overall, the spa experience was brilliant - had a hot stone massage and a manicure afterwards by a lovely girl who talked me through the whole process, then a very tasty Prosecco Afternoon Tea - however, the only downside was the slight abruptness of the first lady we spoke to on arrival. She seemed a little put out that we'd arrived on time for our experience, so didn't explain everything clearly to us. Hence 4 stars, but overall was a fab day!
The treatments and staff were lovely. The cleanliness of the overall spa/pool area was not the best. The changing rooms- there was no mirror next to the hairdryers so you could see what you were doing. And in addition the cord for the actual hairdryer was so short that I had to kneel down to dry my hair. There was no shampoo or conditioner- bring your own. The floor was also extremely slippery and dangerous. The pool was freezing cold and there was a lot of hair in the drains of the pool.
Relaxed atmosphere without any of the snobbiness. Amazing selection for lunch and treatments where perfect
