Friendly staff other than therapist herself who wasn’t very friendly at all didn’t speak through treatment despite me saying I didn’t mind conversation through it as I feel awkward otherwise. Also told therapist what she was doing was hurting my spine as she seemed to be using too much pressure in wrong spots (she continued to do so without even acknowledging what I said). The pool was very cold and dark so quite off putting but jacuzzi was nice very busy though. Huge queues at reception to check in which wasted so much time to use the spa facilities. Room was grubby had to phone to change to twin beds as we booked. Horrible views of ditry rooftops from sixth floor from the room we had anyway. Mouldy shower and bath. Bed sheets seemed dirty and stained. Food was delicious though despite restaurant being rather cold. My ceasor salad came with anchovies which I was surprised at as I didn’t expect and don’t like them but I got over that and removed them. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and lots of choice including English breakfast. Other thing I would say is that if you are a smoker it is difficult to find anywhere to smoke there so you have to literally leave the main building onto the pavement to smoke.
My wife and I came to the spa for our 10 year wedding anniversary - just as we did on our wedding! The overall experience was great, very relaxing and enjoyable. The hot tub, sauna and particularly the steam room weren't the best and could do with improving but it didn't ruin our day. The spa lunch, treatments and general ambience were fantastic. We will return soon.
Amazing value with a lovely room, the dinner was 3 courses and was absolutely superb and so was the breakfast. The spa was really lovely apart from the pool which we found a bit cold. The bar area was really lovely and relaxing too and was much appreciated for a late night drink, staff very friendly and helpful and location was brilliant for a walk to the shops.
Had a lovely visit! My one complaint would be I booked a deep tissue massage for my partner, and upon arrival the masseuse informed him he was not suitable for the treatment as he hadn’t had massage treatment before. She seemed frustrated with him about this however it didn’t clearly say on the treatments brochure that this was the case, and we weren’t told when we booked. Perhaps to ensure therapists don’t have to change treatment plans last minute make this information a bit more clear during the booking process! My therapist was absolutely lovely though who did my facial and massage and overall was a lovely relaxing visit.
Myself and my partner had the treatments below. I had a very good experience however, my partner who went in minutes after me was acutally finished 15 minutes before me. His therapist was moody, rushed and clearly didn't want to be there. His treatments were definitely not 40 minutes long. You will both enjoy: •Decléor Simply Smooth me facial and back ritual (40 minute) •Glass of Prosecco each •Full use of the spa facilities •Robes and slippers provided
