this was a birthday treat,however,changing area very dated unkempt,food and drink prices steep,lack of communication between spa and treatment staff over booking,felt very unwelcome,even though i had called in advance and confirmed all with beauty room staff,on resending original booking e-mail never heard back ,overall would not go again.
Beauty treatments were good but the overall experience is not as good as I have had elsewhere. The hotel/spa venue does not seem very well set up for these kind of spa days. The beauty rooms are very separate from the pool/changing rooms meaning you have to walk through public areas of the hotel including a Restaurant in your robe and slippers to access your beauty treatments! Pool area is a bit basic and feels functional not very 'spa' like. Changing rooms are small and not very well equipped.
Lunch was so so - would have liked the option to upgrade my sandwich option (very limited) to a hot meal for a price.
Would maybe visit the beauty area again as the treatments are good and reasonably priced but would not return to the venue as a spa package.
Lovely hotel. Excellent location, a few mins walk to town centre. Very relaxing. Enjoyed the treatments. Great food. Overall a lovely experience. Will be booking again in a few months ;)
