The facial and back massage treatments were excellent. The spa the facilities were comfortable and clean. Towels, of which there were plenty, robe and slippers luxurious. The temperature of the water was a bit too warm for me, especially in the Jacuzzi. Lunch was excellent but you did have to go to a bar (majestic!) which meant getting changed again (although you could have gone in your towelling robe , it was a public area). Early morning the pool is quieter before the hotel guests arrive with families.
The beauty rooms are lovely, but the pool and gym facilities were disappointing . the pool is small and the jacuzzi wasn't working when i was there. Overall it was good value but for the quality of hotel I expected a bit better
I found that the leisure Centre at the majestic Hotel wasn't restful, children having swimming lessons, and insufficient seating. Also, we had a long walk through the hotel to find a coffee, then a long wait fior a member of staff, the same with lunch when we waited 35 minutes for a pre-ordered sandwich. The treatments in the Orchid Rooms were excellent, we felt that a room where we cold relax and enjoy a morning coffee would have greatly added to our enjoyment of the venue.
The small changing rooms at the majestic are small and tired, the pool and jacuzzi were good and the treatment rooms and the treatments were good. Lovely friendly staff throughout the day. One negative was the lunch. I ordered the chicken salad, the chicken was so over cooked, it was like a piece of cardboard!
