Everything was good friendly staff. Only thing missing was a sauna and jaccuzi in the beauty rooms .You had to go out of the beauty rooms into main hotel for these. Also waiting area could do with a make over,no relaxation area after treatments .But apart from that everything was delightful
It is not disabled friendly. It is situated in the basement with 18+ steps to go up and down. Cannot be done in a wheelchair. We went in the service lift as it is the only lift to the basement this could not accommodate the wheel chair either. We still had to walk a long long way and if we hadnt paid for the treat we would have cancelled. Iwon't be able to go again due to this. It is irresponsible to give the impression that it is disabled friendly.
The majestic hotel is magnificent and I would have loved to see it in its hay day. The decor is a bit dated but it didnt stop my mum and myself having a lovely stay. Our package included a 3 course dinner and breakfast, which were both a good standard. We had treatments in the orchid rooms (massage and facial each) and they were great. We then went to the spa area. This is definitely in need of an upgrade but any it was usable and didn't effect us relaxing. Both my mum and I thought this was a great value for money package and would definitely go again.
An excellent hotel but please do not book this on a spa basis. It has a small public pool, a bath sized jacuzzi and a steam room in the changing rooms (unisex). Apart from that it is lovely- the hotel is gorgeous, it is central location and the staff are friendly.
