I had a shellac manicure with Martina this week and it looks amazing! She took a long time making sure the manicure was done properly before applying the shellac and the result is brilliant - really professional. I chipped a nail that evening (entirely my fault - over-keen vegetable chopping!) and Martina was pleased to repair it asap the next day. I'm a fussy customer but I was very satisfied and will be going back.
I went to Splash Charing Cross for the first time last weekend. I have been a fan of the Soho branch for a while, but hadn't tried this one before. It's very easy to find, about 2 min. walk from Leicester Square station. It was a Saturday and the salon was pretty busy, but I only had to wait a couple of minutes before Martina, the therapist, showed me to the treatment room downstairs. The salon is quite small, but clean; the decor is modern and not too fancy. Martina is very nice and professional, and I was very pleased with the Brazilian waxing - quick and not too painful. I'm quite picky about this kind of treatment and have found it hard to find a therapist I trust. Very satisfied & will definitely visit again!
I was contacted by the charing cross branch as they weren't actually open at 10am (the time I needed to go right before work) to rearrange to one of their other stores in goodge street.
The experience overall was pretty good, quick, fast and friendly staff. The wax itself wasn't too uncomfortable either, however what took me by surprise was that the waxer asked me to position my hands and press/ hold on certain areas to help her wax. From my experience before from another beauty salon- I never had to do that. But, I would say for the price that I paid and the overall outcome. I'm pretty satisfied with the result and I would go again.
My therapist Martina was lovely, speedy and very professional. I went in for a gellish manicure and was delighted with the results. She took less time than is scheduled for the 'deluxe' manicure, but to be honest this was a good thing - the result was just as good and I got back to work in time for lunch.
The salon itself is pretty small and cramped and the upstairs is dedicated to hairdressing, so we were down in a rather dingey room, but for a high-quality, cheap service, I can put up with that.
overall I was very pleased with my treatments at Splash Soho. The room was very small, but cosy. I liked that I was the only person in the room as there is only space for one client at a time and so I could charge my phone, send emails and messages while the therapist was working on my pedicure. She did an amazing job, very thorough and quick so we finished 20min early! Only thing I was disappointed over was that she didn't seem to have covered the whole nail as I started noticing that "nail growth" after 2 days, and usually I don't notice that until my 2nd week when I get a shellac manicure done. My toe nails have started to grow out and there is a noticeable gap between the color and my cuticles, but that was after 3 weeks.
