An Italian girl did my nails this time and was absolutely lovely. Recommended the perfect nail shade. Only gripe I have is that this is the second time my Shellac here has not been as well done as I have come to expect - the shape isn't quite straight and 3 of the nails on my left hand have started flaking after a week...
Bit disappointed this time by my hollywood wax. The usual beautician was not there. This one was just so-so and didn't go back to check that she had removed all the hair. Still good value though.
splash charing cross was the best discovery within my last few weeks in London , recently moved from australia and while passing by, smiling receptionist caught my eye on the front door, she kindly asked if I needed any help, asking about manicure I would never expect to find a slot in such a busy environment ,but they had. been offered a coffe while having my treatment and i was so overwhelmed with service and effect that i decided to have my hair done too...Simone and kind receptionist choose new hair style for me and took great care which totally made my day. What a positive experience , will definitely go there many more times. If i could i would rate it 10 ;) Thank You Splash x
am thrilled... as always Clara did an amazing job...she s quick, sensible and has except her high qualifications great attention to detail, she s a real star, since i found her i wouldn't go anywhere else. Receptionist always welcoming and helpful, takes great care of the clients and leaves great big smile on my face. Salon is small busy in typical New York style as they describe ,but it s lively and staff is just lovely, they are all happy and cheerful . Beauty room is small but cosy, hided downstairs away from all the business ,what makes you feel more comfortable. My favourite lunch escape from work in the middle of the busy city centre, and i still have time for grub ;) happy they are there. ;)
I usually go to another Splash and today I needed a shellac manicure taken off asap before a meeting and there was one opening slot in the Charing Cross Splash. I might as well ripped the shellac off my nails myself. It was painful as the acetone had been on there too long and began to harden up so it was scrapped off so hard it broke three of my nails. I am absolutely furious. Due to the hacking off I have now got ridges left on each nail where some parts of my nail have been take off with the rest of the shellac...and it wasn't even buffed properly. I am severely peeved off when I could have got a bottle of acetone and done exactly this myself when actually going to a salon you should be getting the best acetone specially for this and tools and technique, that is why you pay for it. But instead I got someone who is fed up and ruined my nails...which have never just snapped off and never been in such a state. Absolutely disgusting. I will never go to Splash Charing Cross again. Clearly more understanding and training is needed because I am shocked and appalled that the basic knowledge was not there and if it was then the fact the person was annoyed with their job and situation was reflected in them skipping steps and rushing. I am LIVID!
