The whole experience was really enjoyable, David (my hairdresser) did exactly what I asked for and was very friendly. He talked me through each stage and I left with one of the best haircuts I have had in ages, I will definitely be back!!
This was my very first Brazillian Wax, so I was understandably nervous. The therapist Tatiana, was really lovely, talking me through it, making sure I was completely comfortable. I was really happy with the results and best of all it really wasn't that painful! Later, that day, after work, I went back for a shellac manicure. There was a slight mishap in that I had unwittingly picked gel nail polish that didn't agree with my nails and ended up wrinkled. They happily took the polish off and started again with a CND varnish even though it was after closing time. Thankfully, the CND polish was lovely, very shiny and will hopefully last two weeks. I will definitely be going back to Splash Goodge Street, I really enjoyed both experiences.
Really good service, lovely staff and v efficient and clean. Would highly recommend, particularly as it is in a very convenient location. Salon upstairs was v busy as well, so obviously popular
Splash Goodge Street is extremely convenient for anyone who works north of Oxford Street. It is a great little salon, with a lovely relaxing ambiance. I was made to feel very relaxed before and during the wax and the therapist was extremely professional. I will definitely be going back!
Where to start - when I walked in no one was at the desk so I turned to the guy sitting there with a Splash shirt on to tell him I had an appointment. He didn't even speak to me and just pointed at someone who was running in the front door - who I had apparently passed on my way in (she was having a conversation outside). I had the shellac manicure, which turned out pretty good (minus that it could have been closer to the cuticle to last longer). But the treatment of my cuticles was so rough, I still have a mark from a flap of skin that was cut into and not cut off. The digging around my nail bed was so rough I actually said OW out loud - not that it stopped. My hands felt so dusty the whole time from the nail shavings but was never offered to have them wiped down. I was not offered anything when I sat down, no water and no magazine so I was bored the whole time. The technician kept the lamp between our faces so we couldn't have a conversation, which is fine but felt a little weird. And I was right next to the staircase so several times I ended up directing people to the bathroom that came down the stairs and didn't know where it was (the downstairs could use a sign for that). And if other employees would come down my technician would happily start a conversation with them. At the end I went to use the bathroom myself and it was absolutely disgusting! If you go - avoid at all costs. When I left I wanted to tip my technician but she was already in the back carrying on a conversation, and when I left no one addressed me. It was good because it was cheap, but I would rather pay a little more and be taken care of better.
